King Street Gallery on Burton hosts the eighth exhibition from Melbourne-based photographic artists Charmaine
Hardy and Simon Strong, the duo's first in Sydney. Since their accomplished début in 2000 with the witty "Domestic
Gods", Hardy & Strong's work has encompassed such pertinent sociological themes as inequality, gender roles, body image, cultural stereotyping, sub/urban dislocation, class boundaries, consumerism, and the impact of commercial advertising, popular culture, and media representations upon disparate groups.
